ASSEMBLY, No. 5258

with Assembly Floor Amendments

(Proposed by Assemblyman KARABINCHAK)

ADOPTED: SEPTEMBER 24, 2026

      These floor amendments remove language that restricted the use of funds for security measures, if those measures were for the sole purpose of improving the property or increasing the property value.

      The amendments also make discretionary the requirement that security devices be sold for a reasonable value.  The security devices must still be appropriately dissolved when the campaign or term of office has ended.
