OFFICE OF LEGISLATIVE SERVICES

The OLS concludes that the Department of Human Services would incur between $10,000 and $80,000 in one-time costs to provide the required posters to SNAP retailers.  The lower end of the range assumes the department distributes the poster through electronic means while the higher end reflects the physical distribution of printed posters to all SNAP retailers in the State.  The OLS notes there are about 5,600 such retailers in the State.  The department currently provides SNAP-related materials on its website that may be downloaded and printed by retailers while physical copies of other material may be requested from the department.
