with Assembly Floor Amendments

      These floor amendments stipulate that the definition of “wine product” includes alcoholic fermented beverages made through the fermentation of the natural sugar content of eligible ingredients.  The floor amendments clarify that, in addition to grapes, such ingredients include fruits other than grapes.  The amendments also require the New Jersey Department of Agriculture to consult members of the wine, beer, and liquor production industries when developing the appropriate quality grading and rating system specific to the quality of alcohol products.
