      The Assembly Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee reports favorably Assembly Bill No. 2519.

      This bill would authorize a soil conservation district to have more than five supervisors.  Under the bill, the State Soil Conservation Committee would be authorized to determine the maximum number of supervisors for each district.  Current law authorizes five supervisors for each district, appointed by the State Soil Conservation Committee.

      This bill was prefiled for introduction in the 2026-2027 session pending technical review.  As reported, the bill includes the changes required by technical review, which has been performed.
