      The Assembly Military and Veterans' Affairs Committee reports favorably and with committee amendments Assembly Bill No. 2342.

      As amended by the committee, this bill requires the Department of Veterans Affairs to develop and maintain an informational campaign to promote awareness of the Veterans History Project at the Library of Congress.

      This bill was pre-filed for introduction in the 2026-2027 session pending technical review. As reported, the bill includes the changes required by technical review, which has been performed.

COMMITTEE AMENDMENTS:

      The committee amended the bill to:

      replace Department of Military and Veterans Affairs with Department of Veterans Affairs;

      replace Adjutant General with Commissioner of the Department of Veterans Affairs; and

      change the chapter of law that will be supplemented by the bill.
