The Assembly Transportation and Independent Authorities Committee reports favorably Assembly Bill No. 2130.
As reported, this bill amends current law to require the North Jersey Passenger Advisory Committee and the South Jersey Passenger Advisory Committee to each hold four public meetings a year. The bill also amends current law to require each committee to provide public notice of the time and location of a meeting at least seven days prior to the meeting, which notice is to be posted on the New Jersey Transit Corporation’s (corporation) Internet website. Under current law, these committees provide advice, input, and guidance to the corporation.
This bill was prefiled for introduction in the 2026-2027 session pending technical review. As reported, the bill includes the changes required by technical review, which has been performed.
