ASSEMBLY, No. 1830

      The Assembly Health Infrastructure Committee reports favorably Assembly Bill No. 1830.

      As reported by the committee, this bill removes language from statutory law that states that a new license would not be issued to an ambulatory care facility, proposing relocation, to provide surgical and related services unless the relocation is within 20 miles of the facility’s current location or the relocation is to be a “Health Enterprise Zone.”

      This bill was prefiled for introduction in the 2026-2027 session pending technical review.  As reported, the bill includes the changes required by technical review, which has been performed.
