      The Assembly Transportation and Independent Authorities Committee reports favorably Assembly Bill No. 938.

      As reported, this bill includes Burlington County as a member county of the South Jersey Transportation Authority (SJTA).  The bill also changes the composition of the Board of Commissioners of the SJTA (board) by adding new members to the board.  Under current law, the SJTA includes Atlantic, Cape May, Camden, Cumberland, Gloucester, and Salem counties within its transportation development and planning scope as member counties.

      This bill was prefiled for introduction in the 2026-2027 session pending technical review.  As reported, the bill includes the changes required by technical review, which has been performed.
