STATEMENT
This bill amends the annual appropriations act for Fiscal Year 2026 to reassign the distribution of certain State aid appropriated for the Ivy Hill Park.
Specifically, the Fiscal Year 2026 appropriations act provided $250,000 in State aid to the City of Newark for an Ivy Hill Park Community Center. The bill amends this line-item appropriation to reassign the distribution of funds to the County of Essex. The bill also provides that these funds may be used for general improvements to the Ivy Hill Park and would not be limited to expenses for a community center. This bill does not increase appropriations in the Fiscal Year 2026 annual appropriations act.
