with committee amendments

      The Senate Transportation Committee reports favorably and with committee amendments Senate Bill No. 2755.

      As amended and reported, this bill requires the New Jersey Turnpike Authority and South Jersey Transportation Authority to establish and maintain toll waiver programs that exempt certain disabled veteran-owned businesses from electronic toll collection system fees.  The toll waiver is to be available for all vehicles that:  (1) are owned, leased, or financed by a disabled veteran; (2) are used for a disabled veteran-owned business that has at least $2,500 in revenues, is certified in the State, and does business in the State; (3) are registered in the State of New Jersey; and (4) have an active New Jersey electronic toll collection system account for the motor vehicle.

COMMITTEE AMENDMENTS:

      The committee amended the bill to make technical corrections and to update the title and the synopsis.
