STATEMENT TO

SENATE, No. 1458

with Assembly Floor Amendments

      These floor amendments specify that the Commissioner of the Department of Veterans Affairs will have the authority and must endeavor to provide current information to veterans and their families on State and federal veterans’ programs and benefits via a mobile application.  The amendments also update a section to current law to reflect a change in the administering department from the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs to the Department of Veterans Affairs.
