SENATE, No. 1042

with Senate Floor Amendments

(Proposed by Senator GREENSTEIN)

ADOPTED: DECEMBER 18, 2025

      These floor amendments to the bill:

      (1) remove provisions that would have required the DEP to recommend additional products containing PFAS that should be prohibited from being sold in the State;

      (2) transfer enforcement responsibilities for the bill’s provisions concerning the sale of PFAS-containing products from the DEP to the Division of Consumer Affairs in the Department of Law and Public Safety;

      (3) reduce the bill’s appropriation to the DEP by $500,000, which would instead be appropriated to the Department of Law and Public Safety; and

      (4) make technical and clarifying changes.
