      The Assembly Appropriations Committee reports favorably an Assembly Committee Substitute for Assembly Bill No. 6294.

      As reported, this substitute bill amends section 7 of P.L.1992, c.160 (C.26:2H-18.57) to provide that, effective the first day of the third quarter of Fiscal Year 2026, and subject to any necessary federal approvals applied for by the Commissioner of Human Services, no facility is to pay an assessment greater than $2,000,000 annually under the assessment enacted and imposed pursuant to paragraph (5) of subsection b. of section 2 of P.L. 2025, c. 70.
