· The Office of Legislative Services (OLS) determines that requiring the State Health Benefits Commission and the School Employees’ Health Benefits Commission to provide coverage for an annual wellness visit for a covered member who is over three years of age once per plan or calendar year, without requiring any waiting period, will have no fiscal impact on State or participating local government costs as both programs already provide coverage for such visits at least once per plan year.
BILL DESCRIPTION
This bill requires health insurers, including the
State Health Benefits Program and the School Employees’ Health Benefits Program,
to provide coverage for annual wellness visits for covered persons who are over
three years of age once per plan or calendar year, without requiring any
waiting period.
