ASSEMBLY, No. 5606

      The Assembly Appropriations Committee reports favorably Assembly Bill No. 5606.

      As reported, this bill amends the Fiscal Year 2025 appropriations act to clarify the distribution of a $500,000 grant for the Meals on Wheels Program.  This bill amends the appropriations act to specifically allocate these funds to the Jewish Federation of Northern New Jersey.

      In its current form, the annual appropriations act for Fiscal Year 2025 appropriates these funds to the Jewish Federation of New Jersey.  However, because this is not the official name of an organization, this bill assigns the responsibility for distributing these funds to the Jewish Federation of Northern New Jersey, as intended.
