      The Assembly Community Development and Women's Affairs Committee reports favorably Assembly Bill No. 4982.

      This bill prohibits health insurance carriers from using human body weight as a factor in determining coverage for treatment of eating disorders.

      For the purpose of this bill, “carrier” means an insurance company, hospital service corporation, medical service corporation, health service corporation, or health maintenance organization authorized to issue health benefits plans in New Jersey.
