      The Assembly Appropriations Committee reports favorably Assembly Bill No. 4937 (1R).

      As reported, this bill permits a medical cannabis dispensary to establish satellite locations.

      Under current law, pursuant to P.L.2019, c.153, a medical cannabis dispensary is prohibited from establishing a satellite location.  However, the enactment permits an alternative treatment center to open a satellite location.

      The bill provides that a medical cannabis dispensary may establish two satellite locations and requires a medical cannabis dispensary to obtain approval from the Cannabis Regulatory Commission prior to establishing any satellite location.

FISCAL IMPACT:

      This bill is not certified as requiring a fiscal note.
