STATEMENT TO

ASSEMBLY, No. 4841

with Assembly Floor Amendments

ADOPTED: DECEMBER 19, 2024

      The amendments to this bill accomplish the following:

· remove a dollar adjustment to current law concerning when a requirement for an employee to retire constitutes an unlawful employment practice; and

· restore a provision of existing law that expressly permits an employer to restrict employment to United States citizens when the restriction is required by federal law or necessary to protect national security.
