with Senate Floor Amendments

      These floor amendments require the Department of Children and Families, instead of the Department of Education, to develop the educational fact sheet required under the bill. The amendments also require the Department of Children and Families to consult with, or utilize resources provided by, water safety organizations.

      The amendments also require the Department of Education to make the educational fact sheet available to all school districts and nonpublic schools. The amendments require a school district, instead of the Department of Education, to publish on its Internet website a list of locations where swimming lessons and water safety courses are offered. The amendments provide that the list would only include locations that have voluntarily requested to be included on the list.
