ASSEMBLY, No. 1630

STATE OF NEW JERSEY

      The Assembly State and Local Government Committee reports favorably Assembly Bill No. 1630.

      This bill supplements the "Local Government Ethics Law," N.J.S.A.40A:9-22.1 et seq., to provide that a local government agency cannot employ any person in a full-time or part-time position while that person is on paid leave from a full-time or part-time position with a local government agency of another county or municipality.

      This bill was prefiled for introduction in the 2024-2025 session pending technical review.  As reported, the bill includes the changes required by technical review, which has been performed.
