ASSEMBLY, No. 928
STATE OF NEW JERSEY
DATED: DECEMBER 4, 2025
The Assembly State and Local Government Committee reports favorably Assembly Bill No. 928 (1R).
This bill requires the Department of Transportation (department) to maintain the roadways that surround the State capitol complex. Specifically, the bill requires the maintenance of specific sections of West State Street, West Lafayette Street, Barrack Street, and Memorial Drive within the City of Trenton. Maintenance of these roadways is required to include road paving and snow plowing. To assist in fulfilling the bill’s requirements, the department may consult or contract with any State agency, county, or municipality that is responsible for maintaining the adjoining portion of each of the roadways.
As reported by the committee, Assembly Bill No. 928 (1R) is identical to Senate Bill No. 1577 (1R), which was also reported by the committee on this date.
