SENATE, No. 3123

with Assembly Floor Amendments

(Proposed by Assemblyman MCKEON)

ADOPTED: DECEMBER 7, 2023

      These floor amendments would:

      (1)  clarify that the goals for the Community Solar Energy Program apply to the conditional registration of solar projects (rather than the approval of solar projects); and

      (2)  modify the goals for the Community Solar Energy Program, in terms of the power capacity of solar projects operating under the program, to be: 225 megawatts prior to June 1, 2024, with an additional 275 megawatts prior to June 1, 2024 if qualified applications exceed 225 megawatts, an additional 250 megawatts prior to June 1, 2025 if qualified applications exceed 500 megawatts, and at least an additional 150 megawatts per year thereafter.
