SENATE, No. 2057

with Senate Floor Amendments

Senate Bill No. 2057 (2R) requires certain documentation of the needs of students with disabilities during school security drills and emergency situations and in school security plans, and requires staff training on needs of students with disabilities in emergency planning. 

      These Senate floor amendments revise the bill to:

· permit an actual school security emergency to satisfy the monthly school security drill requirement; and

· require that the training for all full-time employees on school safety and security complies with the training provided by the New Jersey School Safety Specialist Academy and is conducted by the district, receiving school, or nonpublic school in consultation with emergency responders.
