SENATE, No. 461

with Senate Floor Amendments

(Proposed by Senator SACCO)

ADOPTED: FEBRUARY 2, 2023

Senate Bill No. 461 (1R) allows a person who has obtained an EMT certification from another state, territory, or possession of the United States, the District of Columbia, or the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico to obtain a New Jersey EMT certification from the Commissioner of Health.

These Senate amendments clarify that an applicant who possesses a current EMT license or certification in good standing that was issued by another jurisdiction may apply to the commissioner for a New Jersey EMT certification.  The Senate amendments also make clarifying and technical changes to the bill.
