      The Assembly Housing Committee reports favorably Assembly Bill No. 4756.

      This bill requires the Division of Children’s System of Care in the Department of Children and Families to establish divisional and treatment-specific goals related to the provision of behavioral health care, substance use services, or disability services, as appropriate which may incorporate treatment service redesign initiatives and quality of clinical care and service delivery objectives.  In establishing the goals, the division is to prioritize the needs of homeless children and adolescents who are eligible to receive behavioral health care, substance use services, or disability services.

      Under the bill’s provisions, the division is to (1) adopt policies and programs to accomplish the goals established pursuant to the bill; and (2) submit a written report to the Governor and the Legislature, within one year of the bill’s enactment, containing certain information on the establishment and achievement of the goals as outlined in the bill.
