SYNOPSIS
Requires PANYNJ to post information in airports concerning services for victims of human trafficking.

An Act concerning the provision of certain information at airports of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and supplementing Title 32 of the Revised Statutes.
Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:
1. Information concerning services for human trafficking victims in Port Authority airports.
a. Any airport maintained or operated by the Port Authority shall make available in plain view and in a conspicuous place and manner in the public restrooms, informational cards and/or signs developed by:
(1) the Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance in consultation with the New York State Interagency Task Force on Human Trafficking; or
(2) the United States Department of Homeland Security.
b. All informational cards and signs shall only contain information concerning services for human trafficking victims and shall prominently include the national human trafficking hotline telephone number.
2. This act shall take effect upon the enactment into law by the State of New York of legislation having an identical effect, but if the State of New York has already enacted such legislation, then this act shall take effect immediately.
STATEMENT
This bill requires the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (Port Authority) to post information concerning the services available to the victims of human trafficking.
Specifically, this information would be posted in a conspicuous manner within the public restrooms of each airport operated by the Port Authority. This information would be developed by the State of New York’s Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance or the United States Department of Homeland Security.
This bill would not take effect until the State of New York has enacted into law legislation having an identical effect.
