      The Assembly State and Local Government Committee reports favorably Assembly Bill No. 1969.

      This bill amends existing law to permit minors between the ages of 16 and 18 to be employed as election workers, pursuant to R.S.19:6-2, between the hours of 5:30 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. on a day that an election is held.

      This bill was pre-filed for introduction in the 2022-2023 session pending technical review.  As reported, the bill includes the changes required by technical review, which has been performed.
